The Body Politic

A meditation on COVID-19 and the inherent dysfunction of the political systems that hid, denied, and otherwise provided false information at the expense of human lives.

The canvas is a salvaged mannequin, projection mapped, because the costs of the machinations of our leaders are human ones. Each particle is a country. The size of each particle is the number of confirmed cases over time, derived from global reports as collected by Tableau’s COVID-19 Data Hub. It ran on OpenFrameworks.
